The upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 has been announced on 15th April, 2019 in Mumbai. The national team member selectors of India would meet on that day in Mumbai in order to choose the squad for the upcoming world cup cricket of the year 2019.

All India senior selection committee had a meeting on Monday, April 15, 2019 in Mumbai to select the team of India cricket players to play the world cup from 30th May to 14th July, 2019 in England & Wales. This news has been recently announced by BCCI in the latest media release.

For Indian team, Virat Kohli would be a leader in order to lift the trophy although the hosts Australia and England are probably to offer the hard challenge to the charge of India. The deadline to announce the squad of Indian cricket team to play the World Cup is April 23 as set by ICC (Indian Cricket Council) but BCCI has selected to declare the team members much ahead of the final date of submission.

While most of the team members of Indian cricket squad pick themselves, the eyes of everyone would be on the important No 4 slot in the middle order. The country has tried several numbers of players on that spot since the World Cup 2015 but none of them has been capable of making that number four place he had. Vijay Shankar, Dinesh Karthik and Ambati Rayudu are expected to be the front runners for that spot as the chances of Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant can’t be ruled out either.

Hardik Pandya, MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav are the backbone of the middle order but Indian team will rely greatly on their top 3 of Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma and also a skipper Virat Kohli to gain the bulk amount of scores. Among the different bowlers, the spin bowler twins Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav appear a confidence while Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav actually form a very interesting pool of pacers to select from.

Indian country would open their campaign against the South Africa on 6th June, 2019 in the competitive cricket game of ICC World Cup 2019. As there is a world cup selector meet, the on-going IPL match would be at its halfway stage.

The team management of India has actually been persevering on the workload management. MSK Prasad is the chief selector in this committee and he had told TOI in February and his committee already told that the performance of the players in the IPL cricket games would be taken for the little consideration but there is no influence on the actual team selection. According to the guidelines of the tournament, every team should announce the final team members on or before 23rd April, 2019. However, the squads can make any other changes to the final squad of 15 members at least 15 days before the tournament. At the same time, the technical committee of ICC should approve such changes in the squad for the final confirmation
